Crane not strong enough to remove tall statue from State Capitol
Crews prepared to remove what is left of the Confederate monument on State Capitol grounds on Monday night. Shortly after 10 p.m., crews arrived with heavy equipment to remove the base of the monument days after protesters pulled down two statues from it.

ON SATURDAY, THE GOVERNOR GAVE IN ORDER TO DISMANTLE MORE CONFEDERATE STATUES. AND ON SUNDAY, THE CREW REMOVED WHAT WAS REMAINING OF A STATUE THAT WAS HERE ON THE MONUMENT WE WERE STANDING NEARBY. SEE WHAT'S LEFT OF THE MONUMENT. THEY TRIED REMOVING PART OF THE MONEY MEANT ON SUNDAY. THERE WAS A LITTLE BIT OF A STRUGGLE. IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE WHAT THEY CAN GIVE THIS.
