Happy Father’s Day to all of the dads out there! Father’s Day is the time to celebrate the men in your children’s lives and in your own life who stand by you and add love to your world.

For our Father’s Day craft this year, we made my husband a reminder board. This was a simple craft that the kids were able to help with. For this craft, you can find what you will need at your local craft store.

Here's what we used:

A plank of wood

A piece of chalk board

A sheet of cork board

Letters that spelled out D-A-D.

Paint

Hot glue

Nails

Trust me, this seems much more complicated than it is!

Glue the chalk board piece onto the center of the wooden plank board. Then, have your children dip their hands in the paint and grasp the board on the outer edges. This will give the effect that they are holding it.

Trace the letters onto the cork board, and then cut and glue the cork board onto the letters.

Then affix the letters to the top of the board with glue. You can also nail these in if they do not secure right. Hot glue worked well for us on this project though.

Then nail the nails into the bottom, below the chalk board. This will be a great place to hang his keys.

This was seriously simple and so much fun! My husband already got a sneak peak of it and was highly impressed and excited by it!

What are your own plans for Father’s Day?
