He had mentioned that he wants his side of the story told and I took that information to the Commissioner of the National Women's Soccer League. I was shocked and disgusted to read the new allegations reported in the athletic this morning. NWSL Commissioner lisa baird read her prepared statement to me on the phone. She says the league is sending the reports of sexual harassment allegations against Riley to the U. S. Center for Safe Sport for investigation. Those allegations were revealed in an investigative report this morning. Former players detailed accounts of sexual misconduct in inappropriate comments about players, wait and sexual orientation. The league has in place a comprehensive anti harassment anti discrimination policy after Riley was fired from the north Carolina occurs today. I asked him to talk to Wrl about this story from his perspective. He said he needed to talk to his legal team first, but he wanted to share my side. It needs to be heard right now. I have no voice. I took that reply until he said baird and that's exactly what he said was just he feels that he has no voice. I don't know if you had a specific response to that. I don't I just heard from you now. Riley was fired from the Portland Thorns soccer team back in 2015 stemming from a player's complaint today. The Thorn said their investigation found clear violations of company policy and the findings of that investigation were fully shared with the NWSL League Office. I tried to ask lisa baird about that, too, but I was cut off. Was reading one other thing about the Portland thorns. I'm sorry. That's a that's all I have time. I just want to stand behind my original statement. Now, since all this has unfolded, there have been calls on social media for at least a bear to step down as NWSL Commission.

I'm meteorologist K Campbell in the Wral severe weather center. Breakfast temperatures right around 60 degrees with plenty of sunshine as we head to our lunch time, it'll be nice to eat outside. We warm up to 77. Humidity is low. It's a great night to grill out for dinner tomorrow, temperatures top out right around 80 degrees. The Durham Bulls are back in town this week. So if you're looking for something to do outside during this nice stretch of dry weather, they would be perfect. 635 1st pitch Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Tuesday is gonna be the cooler of the days with temperatures around 80. But as we get into Wednesday and Thursday, it'll be warmer and feeling a bit more humid with the first pitch in the eighties. The next three days, we warm up to 88 on Wednesday, 92 on Thursday. You'll be feeling the heat on Thursday and a little bit of humidity with that as well. It's going to be feeling more steamy Thursday day, especially Friday and lasting into Memorial Day weekend as well. So things are quiet for us right now. We've got a ridge of high pressure that's built in across the area, it's going to lead to dry weather for a bit. But once we get to the weekend, we've got a cold front approaching and that front is going to stall across North Carolina for a few days. And what that will do that's going to act as a focus for showers and storms to fire up along that front as we heat up throughout the day. So it's mainly afternoon and evening storms that we would see pretty typical of a hot summer day. It's unsettled. There will be storms around this weekend, but it is not a washout weekend. Saturday, Sunday, Monday all feature a better chance for storms though. They may hold off until a little bit later. Friday into Friday night. High temperatures through Memorial Day weekend will be in the mid to upper eighties each day. And at this point, it looks like we're going to see some sunshine peaking through each day. So it's not necessarily an overcast weekend. It'll be pretty warm and muggy though. Enjoy the week. At least during the work week, we get some dry weather mixed in mostly sunny skies. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and then early in the day on Friday before showers and storms arrive late Friday into Friday night. Scattered storms stick with us through the Memorial Day weekend and our low temperatures climb back into the mid sixties.
