Couple weds at Frying Pan Tower, made famous during Hurricane Florence
A North Carolina couple just had a one-of-a-kind wedding. They exchanged vows at the Frying Pan Tower, an old lighthouse more than 30 miles off the coast.
And now on behalf of the throwing can Tower, it is my great pleasure to introduce you for the first time. Mr and mrs Benjamin Black. They do and they did it 30 miles offshore and 85 ft above the ocean. It was everything that I've ever wanted ever dreamed of. Just it was perfect. Audrey and Ben Black tied the knot on saturday. In the first wedding ever. At frying pan. Tower wasn't necessarily a race to get out there to be the first by any stretch. It just so happened that that's it worked out that way. So to be the first ones to get married out there is pretty cool hill. Uh huh. The Tower holds a special place in Ben's heart. One year ago, to the day of the wedding, he sat on the helipads and pray that his soul mate be placed in his life. Four days later he got a notification on his phone alerting him. It was Audrey's birthday. He hadn't spoken to her in years but wish her happy birthday and the rest is history. So when Audrey suggested the wedding there, he was instantly sold on the idea and at 7:20 p.m. On saturday, she walked out onto the helipads for the most special day. I know my heart skipped a few beats. Um and she was absolutely the most beautifully stunning woman I've ever laid my eyes on photographer, Jeff Wenzel with above topsoil. Portrait studio was charged with capturing the magic to be able to capture it, but more importantly for those images to be seen by them by their Children by their relatives, their friends, it's just so important to me to not only capture the story, but for them to be displayed and see it. Wenzel is working on the final product, but it's without a doubt going to be a beautiful story told. It's such an honor to be able to be part of capturing that this is exactly what we wanted. This is the perfect way to start things off and for us to, you know, to start our future together and that this is the last time that we'll be back on the tower for sure.
