— A member of the Wake Forest Town Hall's cleaning staff tested positive for coronavirus. As a result, the town hall will close on Thursday at noon.

The building will be professionally cleaned and sanitized and reopen at 8 a.m. the next day, Friday.

Kip Padgett, town manager, said that the staff member did not interact with members of the public and had "limited contact with staff."

“Still, we are closing Town Hall and disinfecting the building in accordance with public health guidance," Padgett said.

There will be a drive-up drop box in the Brooks Street parking lot if residents need to drop off paperwork like:

  • utility bill payments
  • rental deposits
  • leases, letters of credit, copies of photo IDs

Residents of the Town of Wake Forest who need to access additional resources can go online to the customer service portal. Anyone with questions is encouraged to go to the town's contact form.
