And meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner, we could see a few isolated showers this evening. But what we end up seeing today is going to be pretty minimal in terms of anything measuring in the rain gauges. But again, any time after the evening commute through around 10 or 11 o'clock, there could be an isolated shower. Looking ahead to Friday, we have a level one risk for severe storms, damaging wind would be our biggest threat, but we may have a few pockets of some heavy rain as well, taking a look at future casts. We do have clear skies to start with on Friday, but we'll see an increase chance for some scattered storms, especially south and east of the triangle. As we get through the day, you can see those scattered showers popping up right around two o'clock. A few of those could end up with winds gusting up to 58 MPH. That's our severe criteria. We may see that first round, early to mid afternoon and then a little break and then during the evening, say around dinner time or later with that next round that comes through this afternoon, we'll see highs in the low to mid eighties, 82 and Raleigh 81 in Durham and 84 in Fayetteville. Um, definitely a warm week still highs in the eighties through Saturday. Our normal high is 73 but we'll likely have a front that comes through and sinks to our south during the day's Sunday. That's going to allow some cooler air in. So we'll end up with a high of just 68 degrees. Watch this temperature change. You can see the yellow and red color contours, yellow and orange. That's where temperatures are above normal. Once we get past Saturday, when that front moves through, we see the dark blue and purple colors move in. So we're going to see a pretty big switch there. And the other thing that you'll notice with this is cooler nights as well. We're going to see several nights or mornings with temperatures in the forties. And, uh, you know, we're getting to that time where, you know, we see fewer and fewer of those. We're not looking at a frost advisory or, you know, freezing conditions by any means, but definitely going to cool off some. Um, tomorrow is going to be the warmest day of the next seven with a high of 87 degrees under sunny skies. And then after that, we make that big switch for next week with Sunday's high of 68 then 65 on Monday 70 on Tuesday
