FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Two Cumberland County schools will be closed for part of next week for deep cleaning and sanitizing due to the number of positive coronavirus cases and the number of staff quarantined.

Cumberland County Schools officials made the decision to close Jack Britt High School and Gallberry Farms Elementary School Tuesday through Thursday. Teachers were told to telework from home during the process.

This past week, two other Cumberland County schools were closed because of staff quarantined by positive coronavirus cases. Lewis Chapel Middle School and 71st High School were deep cleaned and sanitized during that time.
