Ticket sales for Raleigh's popular Holiday Express postponed because of COVID
Tickets for Raleigh parks department's popular Holiday Express event usually go on sale in late July, but the pandemic is forcing some big changes.
Posted — UpdatedThe event draws thousands to Pullen Park near downtown Raleigh in December for train rides, carousel rides, holiday lights, arts, crafts and opportunities to visit with Santa. The park's playground and amusements have been closed since March.
Exactly when tickets might go on sale and even if the event will be held is yet to be determined. The city said in the announcement that updates will be shared on its Holiday Express website and through @RaleighParks social media.
"We appreciate your support, passion, and enthusiasm for Holiday Express and hope to see you in December," the announcement says.
