If you want to get a COVID-19 test on Monday, be aware that it is the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday and some test sites will be closed. Those that are open may open late due to slick roads after Sunday's freezing rain, ice and snow.

Wake County COVID-19 testing sites organized by Mako Medical at Five County Stadium, PNC Arena, WakeMed Soccer Park and Word of God Church will not open until 11 a.m. on Monday due to the expected cold temperatures that could cause ice on the roads.

You do not need an appointment but you will need to pre-register at the provided links.

The above testing locations will be open on Monday, despite the holiday.

You can request an at-home COVID-19 test kit on the Wake County website or request an appointment at one of the county's five testing sites, although appointments for those were completely booked through Tuesday by Monday morning.

Test kits are also in supply at some drugstores, although demand is high.

The state Department of Health and Human Services also has a tool to help people find tests.
