Saint James Seafood reopens with special curbside to-go menu
The Jimmy's Dockside menu features a more casual version of Saint James Seafood's menu. Options include peel and eat shrimp, lobster rolls, fried seafood, barbecue ribs and fried chicken buckets. Orders are available for curbside pick-up.
Posted — Updated“We specialize in seafood but not everyone eats seafood,” Kelly said. “At a time like this we need to diversify as much as we can."
For those missing Saint James' oyster selection, the restaurant is selling "Ready to Slurp" oysters by the half dozen. The oysters are vacuum sealed with crushed ice.
The menu also features a curated wine list and local beers. There are also party bowl cocktail mixes for sale, where guests just add alcohol and ice at home.
As the state continues to deal with the coronavirus, executive chef and owner Matt Kelly said he is waiting to reopen the dining room until he feels it is safe to do.
After being closed for 10 months, Saint James reopened in January - only to close in March due to coronavirus pandemic.
Newly opened, the restaurant is taking safety precautions. All staff members are required to check their temperatures when they get to work and must wear makes while in the building. Each day the restaurant is also being deeply sanitized.
The Jimmy's Dockside to go at Saint James Seafood menu is available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for lunch and 4 to 8 pm. for dinner Tuesday through Saturday.
