Billy cycles mortgages don't stop house payments and in and rent food. Our electricity bills still in these gyms have to be paid. So here we are now looking at the end of June. You know, for us to start my question to everybody is how are we to build consumer confidence after that? How we to tell the citizens of North Carolina to come back to our gyms when we've been labeled the worst of the worst. One other thing I like. I see. If you know, if you out here like you probably go to gyms and health clubs workout, have any help? Close it. That's part of what people through Because we keep in place. Thanks. Yes, the pain from a do over. We've got to get things in place and we have in place ready to, you know, Wednesday when the government Now you know we're gonna limit the number. Uh, there will be sanitizer at the door from entering and leaving our wear masks. We will space out cornea every other machine. We'll tell people to practice social distancing and just limited number, and we'll have full time cleaning staff going behind. Everyone's working out if they don't clean yourself playing for, you know, we're not. Kindergartens were grown adults. We know what you're doing, and we wouldn't be in this business long enough. Has been in the health and Fitness Centre Street for what, 100 years? 40 40 years. And so I've been in for 23 years. You will not survive as a business owner if you cannot protect your clients. Remember it. We're all trying to protect everybody. We showed it Our doors. That were week of the 20th of March. We said, You know what? We're gonna do our part. We're gonna We're gonna help save all these people because we have been labeled a viral epicenter. And now, as studies air coming out and everybody is going back to work, health and fitness clubs were the ones without chair to sit down. When the music got turned off. Were you on the part of the reopen movement? Way supported, are, are are are reopened movement from afar simply because in eastern North Carolina were a smaller community. And so we kept up with our clients. We kept up with with our members for maybe in a one on one personal training center. You know, we were texting and motivating and telling everybody, Hey, exercise. You get out there, Want to walk the neighborhoods and be active, You know, in that lasted for a good 34 weeks. And then everybody was ready for us to open up face to, you know, the governor sent everybody home. What if I stay home amused? System drop were one of the few industries help build your immune system. Come on, let's get real with this. Quit being so political body thing. This is about people's lives, their livelihoods, their their their clients that are going through all kinds of things, depression and everything else. This is totally ridiculous. Another question here now that I have, Yeah, I'll just let him speak. Hey, good morning. Well, first off, I want to say that I read the article that sparked all this outrage. Smart. Everyone's opinion of what I said and the way that he worded everything was a complete shame. It was a blatant defamation of the words that I insincerity and the message that I was trying to convey to the people that I was speaking to, and I was just doing this in the mindset of 17 76 and the mindset that we should have the ultimate price that must be paid to secure freedom. I served in the Marine Corps honorably for five years, and I take those oats seriously to support the Constitution and uphold the freedoms that we all enjoyed. Of course, I never want to see anyone die. Nobody ever wants to see anyone die. And I would never just willy nilly say that I was gonna kill someone. If you look at my video and you actually go and you go to it with a open heart and open mind and understand the words I was saying, you will see for yourself that the article was a blatant and total misrepresentation. He cut a plea cut words. He sparked these emotions that were start up to make me seem like I was gonna murder someone, or that I was going to go out and just kill kill people willy nilly. I would never do that. Never. I'm a peaceful man. Anyone that knows me, you could look back in my history going back of all the Facebook post I've ever posted, I'm always a peace and love and freedom and us all living together in peace, right? But as in 17 76 if there does come a day where tyranny is overtaking the populace and freedoms are being removed and the people are in need of defense will be willing. Do what I took an oath in the Marine Corps to do, and that is to wage war, whatever necessary of that purpose. But never would it be an innocent life taken innocent people being, you know, that I'm gonna have that mindset is to go on field. Was any part of your comment in no way, No way. It was just a mindset. I'll be prepared if we ever end up in that situation on anyone that served in the military. We know that's a readiness. Do you worry that comments and may separate because and you're shopping about? Well, I would hope that people always give people the benefit of doubt that they reduce their own minds and their own investigations and not take the word of a of a media outlet just a face value. Do your own homework. We have access and because because of that we have Coach's video live on Reopen Enciso that anyone can go there, look at the video, your own judgment and then you can see for yourself what the media has done to the Post. And yeah, I would just like to add that you know, his statements did not, wasn't speaking on behalf of reopen and see making those statements. However, he is my husband, so I will support his stance as a soldier. He didn't say anything that every single soldier that had taken an oath in the United States of America hasn't also said. And so that is why, as as an organization reopen and see came right out and publicly shared the video to our group with all of our 80,000 members. So let them make their own judgment call. And in fact, we have had overwhelming support from our members. We have had overwhelming thank you for saying that. Will said we appreciate someone standing up and speaking out for freedom because God is the cost of freedom is high. Our founding fathers, you can read the Federalist Papers. You can read the Declaration of Independence. You can read the Bill of Rights. I'm sorry, but we live in a nation that was born out of a war against tyranny and rebellion against it. At whatever cost, they knew that every so often the price of freedom was going to be the blood of tyrants and patriots. These air famous quote. So nothing that, he said was out of that context that was in no way inciting any type of violence. And I think that's why we shared the video, because when you watch it with an open heart, you can clearly see what his heart was in that message. I just went at it word on on that day way hoping to pray. Pray to our God that that never happens place of having to shed. But on that day, in 17 or 17 I'm not sure. Exactly. Year 17 87 when they asked, Good, I'm going to war with the English To secure our freedom of our nation, they had to steady themselves. They had to take that line. They had to stand before the greatest military fighting force in the world and be willing to take life, be willing to lay down their lives. You see, it was that message that I was trying to convey. And I just wanted everyone that we never want that to happen. We always system a system is in place now to the best of my ability to have a peaceful out. And I think that reopen. And he has exemplified that by her actions that were taken. Any other questions? You guys actually is chorus When you get the day you got arrested, you guys have 1200 people here that are over 1000 people. Since the numbers have gone dropped a lot. Uh, are you Do you think that was a bad choice to get arrested that day? And it turns out, you know, that choice that day was not to get arrested. The choice was to make a stand for the The stand on the sidewalk was absolutely a decision to to stand up against an infringement of rights. And, you know, we've had we've had over 500 people here in the last two weeks. Under the following week. We didn't It was rainy that day. He skipped a week, so I don't know what happened last week. Today we're gonna have five events and we've got a lot of RCP says I don't know what the numbers look like. I think that over the course of those leaks you want your various states of reopening a lot of retail stores. But on May 8, so I don't know what the numbers were. You know what? I know that we lost about 300 members that day and we gained 2000. So I don't know that that affected the numbers of the rally at all. If it wasn't just pointed it, that's hard to say. However, you know that they on the sidewalk. I was never given a directive not to walk on the sidewalk, ever. Not once. I was never told that the sidewalk was off limits and I did approach the officer and asked him, Multiple times are allowed on the sidewalk. Why are we not allowed on the sidewalk? Is that true? And so two other women were arrested that day. One was thrown on the roof of a car pretty, pretty violently. And you know, at that point time I'm sorry. My taxes pay for that side. Well, I paid my taxes. My tax money was actually continually drafted. Even during the shutdown, when the state of North Carolina said that it wouldn't be to the tune of $5000 while my mortgage is due while my businesses shut down while my Children need food and clothing. So yeah, emotions were high extension had, you know, the extension had just happened, and at that point I chose to make a stand on that cycle 1000. Yes, I believe it's 657,000. Yes, and actually, we posted a public Facebook page just last week, and we already have a reach of 375,000 people on that page. So I dare say our movement is not decreasing. It's important to note to that very same sidewalk. Not even three hours later, joggers were dragging around and walking down the sidewalk, and nobody was saying a word. And that day we had protestors on the sidewalk. That very afternoon, just minutes before the arrest, police say it was because of the one of your members to remember shaking. Get back. You know, it's interesting. I actually had a friend come. A member of our movement. She came the very next morning and walked the entire perimeter of the mansion. There was no damage to anything. And I have asked people to please send me video footage of that because we were never given anything and no one could produce a single ounce of any video evidence that any damage being done to any now. If a gentleman did shake the gate and it's a gate to the governor's mansion, I would be very shocked if he could have actually damaged it. So, you know, if he could, then maybe they need to reinforce their gates. Any other questions? Okay, well, we're going to go over and have some great speakers today for our Memorial Day event. We have, you know, some various people who have a lot of great things to say. We're really going to spend the day just memorializing fallen heroes nationwide, 2.8 million lives, you know, lost for this, this freedom that we all enjoy. So I urge every single person listening to think about the cost of freedom is a high one. What are you willing to do to ensure it for your Children and your Children's Children? Because the posterity of the United States of America rests on the shoulders of us, right now on decisions that we make. So today, God bless taken Shut down our businesses. They can do it, everyone. Meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner, I'm tracking a front that's dropping in on our area this morning. We will end up seeing most of the rain between late morning and say late afternoon as this moves from north to south slowly across our area. I mean, even though we're looking at, you know, a decent coverage of rain here as it moves through the amounts, the totals that we actually see in the rain gauges are going to be pretty light. We're talking about less than 1/10 of an inch in most places. We'll pause it there at lunchtime and we're seeing some showers from Raleigh North through there at noon. It starts to slide southward during the afternoon. At three o'clock, we're drying out from Durham to Roxboro, but seeing some showers from Rocky Mountain to Goldsboro to Fayetteville to Southern Pines. By five o'clock, the rain is over in the triangle but continues to affect folks around Fayetteville, Clinton and Goldsboro. And by around seven o'clock, it has pushed east of our area. We take a look at Durham this morning. We're seeing mostly cloudy skies. Clouds are really starting to thicken up as that front gets closer to us, it's much warmer than it was yesterday. We're starting off with our temperatures in the fifties instead of the thirties that we saw yesterday. So these temperatures heading out are going to be anywhere from 15 to 20 degrees warmer than yesterday. So you don't need a big coat, but a jacket will feel comfortable again. Take along the umbrella too. If you're going to be out at any point today, especially late morning into the latter part of the afternoon, temperatures will be mild in the mid to upper seventies, but we'll have just a few light showers. Durham Bulls are in the middle of a home stand right now. And even though we do have some rain in the forecast, that rain will be out of here by the time we get to six o'clock in Durham, that may still be in our southern counties by that point, but it won't be in Durham any longer. Thursday and Friday as well as Saturday and Sunday. All looking nice and dry with some sunshine and game time. Temperatures in the low seventies, at least through Saturday is Saturday looking beautiful temperatures through the afternoon will be in the mid seventies under mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies. So looking pretty, it's a mild week, normal high 75 and that's what we're seeing through Saturday. But then we see 80 is returning for Sunday. That's not going to be a record. The record for Sunday is 90 but Monday 86 and then Tuesday, we climbed to 89 and the record is 90. So that one is definitely within the grasp. We could end up with a record high on Tuesday. It's the only wet day today. After that, we're dry and we'll see continued warming into early next week.
