HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — Orange County officials announced last week that all county employees would need to provide proof of a coronavirus vaccination by Sept. 1. If they do not have one, they will be required to take weekly COVID-19 tests, and submit their results to Human Resources.
County officials have also joined Durham and Wake counties in reinstating a mask mandate for all county employees, officials announced last week.
Masks are required for all employees and staff, regardless of vaccination status. The renewed mandate went into effect last Thursday, a release said.
Anyone who visits a county facility will also have to wear a face mask.
