The new ALDI on Creedmoor Road in Raleigh is now open as of April 29.

Update on April 29, 2020: The new ALDI on Creedmoor Road in Raleigh is now open as of April 29.

The sign on the side of the building still indicates it is opening on April 30, but their website shows that the store is open and customers are shopping.

This was a soft opening with no giveaways or freebies or grand opening celebration. This quiet opening was likely done in order to prevent crowds while social distancing is still necessary during the COVID-19 pandemic. This location was supposed to open in June 2020, but they have opened the store early to provide an additional shopping option for the area.

April 26, 2020: The new ALDI on Creedmoor Road in Raleigh will be opening months ahead of schedule on Thursday, April 30, according to the sign on the door of the store. .

The store is located at 6300 Creedmoor Road, Raleigh, NC.

The company had indicated in September 2019 that this location would be opening in late June 2020, but in an effort to give more people access to groceries during the COVID-19 pandemic, the store is opening early.

In a statement from ALDI to WRAL, the company shared the following:

"At ALDI, we know now, more than ever, our service to the communities we serve is critical during these unprecedented times. We have been focusing all of our efforts on ensuring food and household goods are available in our existing stores.

Now, to offer even more people access to ALDI high-quality, affordable groceries, we’ve been working to open new stores where can do so safely. We’re excited to share that ALDI will soon be serving more Raleigh customers with our newest store at 6300 Creedmoor Road.

As we continue keeping our stores cleaned and stocked, and our employees and customers safe, we look forward to also supporting even more local Raleigh residents.

Although the company has not yet confirmed the actual opening date, signs on the windows of the new store indicate that it will open on April 30.

Due to the social distancing orders currently in effect, it is unlikely that there will be any opening day activities or giveaways when the new store opens. If the opening date changes or additional information regarding the new store becomes available, we will update this post.
