NC state trooper dies at UNC after fight with coronavirus

Chapel Hill, N.C. — A North Carolina state trooper has died after his fight with COVID-19.
According to officials, Sgt. Timothy "Lee" Howell lost his lengthy battle with the virus on Thursday afternoon at UNC Hospital.
Howell had two daughters and is also survived by his mother, brother and girlfriend, according to a post by the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said a celebration of life is planned to remember Howell.
