Most stores have lifted mask mandate for fully vaccinated

WRAL has compiled a list of grocery stores, pharmacies, retail and restaurants that still require masks.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Although Gov. Roy Cooper announced Friday that North Carolina no longer requires masks and social distancing, some stores are playing it safe and still requiring masks.
All current capacity restrictions in indoor spaces have also been lifted.
As of Friday, more than 47% of adults in the state are fully vaccinated; however, that leaves a large percentage that are still unprotected. While the Pfizer vaccine is approved for those ages 12 and up, most children have not yet been vaccinated.

Cooper said businesses and local governments can maintain their own mask mandates if they choose.
