RALEIGH, N.C. — We've seen some really encouraging COVID-19 numbers in our state recently – and that's a trend we all want to see continue.

Vaccinations are a critical part of those positive metrics.

So let's get you caught up on some of the weekend vaccine clinics happening today.

Nearly 1,500 people are expected to get a vaccine on Saturday at PNC Arena at an appointment-only drive-thru clinic.

This will be the second mass vaccination event at PNC this week.

Thousands of people already got their shots on Wednesday, but Thursday's event was canceled due to winter weather.

With today's clinic, state leaders say more than 4,300 people will have received the doses at the arena.

Indoor clinics on Saturday

Wake County residents also have a chance to get their shots at two indoor clinics on Saturday.

More than 500 people are scheduled to receive the dose at the Wake County Public Health Center.

And another 700 people will get it at the Wake County Commons Building.

The clinics are by appointment-only.
