Wake Forest, N.C. — If you live in Wake Forest, this is the week to get your sidewalk chalk out — or back out if your kids have already been hard at work out on the driveway.
This week, April 13 to April 17 is Chalk Your Walk Week in the town, part of its #StayStrongWF initiative. Last week was Spirit Week where residents were encouraged to take part in daily themes. During Chalk Your Walk Week, residents are asked to draw pictures and write positive and uplifting messages on their driveways and sidewalks.
Here's what Wake Forest's website says:
Each day that you participate, please share with us photos of your pictures and messages through our online form. Throughout the week, we’ll post on the Town of Wake Forest Facebook page the pictures we’ve received and upload them to our online photo gallery.
We also invite you to post your pictures on social media and use the hashtag #StayStrongWF.
At the end of the week, we’ll announce on Facebook three winners who will receive a special prize.
More information is on the town's website.
