RALEIGH, N.C. — Moms and dads, we get it.

Kids around ALL THE TIME... especially little ones.

Sports canceled, playgrounds, even friends, off limits!

It's tough.

5 On Your Side's Monica Laliberte shares some online distractions to try that also have lessons in them.

VR designed by Google lets your online explorer climb a virtual Mount Everest, or go out of this world to explore the surface of Mars on NASA’s Curiosity Rover.

Looking for something interactive?

Check out Facebook Live, where your child can join a live safari with zookeepers at the Cincinnati Zoo, or chat with their favorite children’s book authors, like Mo Willems.

Online museum tours are also available.

The National Gallery in Washington, D.C., the Guggenheim in New York, the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, the National Museum of Anthropology in Mexico City, even the Louvre in Paris - they all have some or most of their exhibits available online for free.

Some libraries, teachers and even Dolly Parton are holding online book readings for children.
