Nurses Week was created back in 1990 and runs May 6 - May 12 each year. National Nurses Day is officially on May 6 and May 12 is the birthday of Florence Nightingale, who is often credited with being the founder of modern nursing.

McDonald's is offering free Thank You Meals to healthcare workers, police officers, firefighters and paramedics across the Triangle area and the country to thank them for their selfless service throughout this pandemic!
Each Thank You Meal will be available at no charge via drive thru or carry out from April 22 through May 5, during breakfast, lunch and dinner. The meals will be served in McDonald’s iconic Happy Meal box, in hopes of bringing a smile along with delicious food.
