Department stores begin reopening. Check this list of hours before you go

As of this week, GAP stores and select Bed Bath & Beyond stores are open in the area. Read on for the adjusted hours, special at-risk shopping times and increased safety measures for all the department stores now open.

North Carolina is now in Phase 2 of the reopening plan during the COVID-19 pandemic and select department stores are open for business. In addition, many have adjusted hours, special at-risk shopping times and safety measures.

Keep in mind that according to the Phase 2 announcement, stores can only allow a limited number of people in the store at the same time, employees and customers should still practice social distancing and people should wear masks when they are not able to practice social distancing.

Department Stores Open Now

Belk: According to the Belk website, Triangle area stores are open starting Monday, May 11 from 12 pm to 6 pm each day. Some stores, including Durham are opening a few days later than other Triangle area stores. See the specific hours and opening day for your local store on their website.
Bed Bath & Beyond: Select Bed Bath & Beyond stores are now open in the Triangle, but many are still closed for in-store shopping as of June 1, 2020. The stores are are allowing in-store shopping are open Monday-Friday from 10 am - 6 pm and Sunday from 11 am - 5 pm. The stores that are open have special shopping hours for shoppers who are 60+ and others at risk from 9 am to 10 am each Tuesday and Wednesday. Those stores that are not open for in-store shopping are offering curbside pick-up. See the details and open locations on their website.
Best Buy: Best Buy is now offering scheduled consultations at select area stores. According to their website, "You can now schedule an in-store consultation online, by phone, chat or at the front of the store. At your scheduled time, we’ll pair you with a Best Buy team member. Please wear a face mask or covering before entering. We’ll ask you how you feel, and if you have concerns, we’ll encourage you to reschedule. All our employees are following multiple safety guidelines, including wellness checks, personal protective equipment, and social distancing." Best Buy is also beginning to offer in-home services once again in select states, according to their website. Store are still available for curbside pickup. Burlington Coat Factory: Burlington Coat Factory locations in the Triangle are now open. The store hours are 9 am - 9 pm at this time. See their website for store locations.
Dillard's: According to the Dillard's website, the Raleigh location at Triangle Town Center will open on Tuesday, May 12. Temporary hours will be M-F from 11 am to 7 pm and Sunday from 12 pm - 6 pm. GAP: The GAP stores in the area are now open from 11 am - 7 pm each day. See the specific local stores on the GAP website HERE.
Hamrick's: Hamrick's is open in North Carolina as of Saturday, May 9 including Raleigh, Fayetteville, Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Hickory, Gastonia and Asheville. Store hours are 10 am - 8 pm at this time. They will be allowing no more than 50% occupancy rate. See the details on their Facebook page.
HomeGoods: Most HomeGoods stores are open in the area. They have temporary store hours of Monday through Saturday, 10am-7pm and Sundays 11am-7pm. In some stores, they are offering dedicated shopping hours every Tuesday and Thursday from 9am-10am for seniors (60+) and those who are at greater risk. In addition, layaway will be closed except for pickups and cancellations. See the details and the list of open stores on their website.
JCPenney: Select JCPenney stores in North Carolina are now open. According to their website, the stores at Berkeley Mall in Goldsboro, Goldeneast Crossing in Rocky Mount, Cross Creek Mall in Fayetteville, Westfield Shoppingtown in Wilmington, and Hanes Mall in Winston Salem are open. Kohl's: According to the Kohl's website, multiple stores in the area are now open from 11 am - 7 pm each day. The hour from 11 am - 12 pm is reserved for at-risk shoppers on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Many Kohl's stores in NC are also offering limited-contact store drive-up for online orders. According to their website, "Once a store reopens, we’ll be reserving dedicated shopping hours every Monday, Wednesday + Friday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. for our customers who are age 60+, who are pregnant or who have underlying health conditions." Macy's: Macy's locations in the area are now open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. According to the company press release, the following locations in the area are offering In-Store Shopping, Curbside Delivery and In-Store Pick-up:   Macy’s Crabtree Valley  , Macy’s Cross Creek  , Macy’s Streets At Southpoint , Macy’s Triangle Town Center. Free curbside pick-up is available Monday through Friday between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. They have also tended the return policy so customers can return merchandise purchased online up to 60 days after the original end date noted on the receipt. Marshalls: Most Marshalls stores are now open in the area. They have temporary store hours of Monday through Saturday, 11am-7pm and Sundays 12pm-7pm. They are also offering dedicated shopping hours every Monday through Saturday from 10am-11am and Sundays from 11am-12pm for seniors (60+) and those who are at greater risk. Ross Dress for Less: Most Ross Dress for Less stores are now open from 10 am - 7 pm each day. They are reserving shopping hours for seniors (55+) and those at greater risk on Tuesdays from 9-10 am. Check their website for specific times and locations that will be opening.
Stein Mart: Most Stein Mart stores in North Carolina are now open for curbside pick-up or in-store shopping from 11 am - 6 pm, according to their website. See their website for details on which Stein Mart stores are open for pick-up oprder.
T.J. Maxx: Most T.J. Maxx stores are now open in the area. The temporary store hours are Monday through Saturday, 11am-7pm and Sundays 12pm-7pm. They are also offering dedicated shopping hours every Monday through Saturday from 10am-11am and Sundays from 11am-12pm for seniors (60+) and those who are at greater risk.
