Benson cancels 2020 edition of Mule Days
The 2020 edition of Benson's annual Mule Days celebration is canceled. The town hopes to resume in 2021.

BENSON, N.C. — The 2020 edition of Benson's annual Mule Days celebration is canceled. The town hopes to resume in 2021.
"With all these good times in mind, and with heavy hearts, we have decided to postpone the 71st Annual Benson Mule Days this year," Benson spokesman Tyler Douglas said. "This wasn’t an easy decision."
He promised that Mule Days would "come kicking back to life" in the fourth week of September 2021.
