FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Anyone 16 and older will be able to get a COVID-19 vaccine in Cumberland County starting on April 7,
Those eligible can begin scheduling appointments starting at 5 p.m. on Thursday.
There are currently 14 providers in Cumberland County administering vaccines at 20 different locations.

The county is continuing to offer drive-thru vaccinations at the Crown Complex at 1960 Coliseum Drive in Fayetteville.

A spokesperson for Cumberland County Health Department said they were aware of a technical glitch that caused people with second-dose appointments for the Moderna or Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine on April 1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to be canceled.

People who had their appointments canceled during those time slots can still attend their appointment.  The health department said it was working to send email and text appointment confirmations to affected people.

Nearly 4.3 million vaccinations have been administered throughout the state since mid-December, according to the state Department of Health and Human Services.
