Another new COVID-19 testing site opens in Wake County
Another free testing site opens in Wake County on Wednesday as North Carolina sees a record number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 and the highest rate of positive tests in the pandemic.
Posted — UpdatedCARY, N.C. — Another free testing site opens in Wake County on Wednesday as North Carolina sees a record number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 and the highest rate of positive tests in the pandemic.
The site opens at Apex Community Park at 7 a.m. on Wednesday. It will be open from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Pre-registration is required.
The park is the second new site to open in Wake County this week. On Monday, a new state-operated COVID-19 testing site opened at Highland Baptist Church, located at 8524 Crowder Road near Garner. The site also requires pre-registration.
Other state-operated sites open in Wake County include:
- Word of God Church, 3000 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh
- PNC Arena, 1400 Edwards Mill Road, Raleigh
- Five County Stadium, 1501 N.C. Highway 39, Zebulon
- WakeMed Soccer Park, 101 Soccer Park Drive, Cary
Pre-registration is required -- find that and site hours at the links provided.
Wake County Public Health's five COVID-19 testing sites also remain open, but appointments must be made online.
