Cary, N.C. — On Friday, WRAL is partnering with the North Carolina Bar Foundation for a day-long Attorneys on Call phone bank.
Between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., callers will get the chance to ask an attorney about any number of COVID-19 related issues. It's free to call 919-891-9779 and speak with one of the dozens of attorneys on hand to answer calls.
Each March, WRAL has hosted an Attorneys on Call phone bank. This year's event was delayed and will be held virtually to keep social distancing guidelines in place.
Callers can ask questions about job rights, benefits and whether consumers are entitled to certain refunds.
The attorneys on call specialize in all areas of civil law -- housing, small business, government benefits, employment, bankruptcy and family law.
When you call, be prepared to explain what kind of legal advice you need. You will be directed to an attorney who specializes in that area.
It's a good idea to have pen and paper on hand so you can take notes.
