NC rate of positive COVID tests a record 35.9%

Since the start of the pandemic, 20,000 people have died in North Carolina with COVID-19.
And cases keep multiplying. On Wednesday, the state added another 17,374. The seven-day rolling average is over 30,000 per day.
On Wednesday, 35.9% of tests were showing evidence of the virus.

More than 4,600 people are currently hospitalized with the virus, the highest number to date, although not all of those people have coronavirus symptoms.
