HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C. — After reporting positive coronavirus tests in eight children and four staff members earlier this summer, the Goddard School of Holly Springs has since seen no further infections and was moved Tuesday to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services list of locations where clusters are considered over.
While Wake County Health Department alerted the school that it had been removed from the cluster list on Sept. 3, the state only updates its data on Tuesday – Sept. 8 this week – WRAL incorrectly reported on Monday, Sept. 7, that the Goddard School was still on the list.

One daycare in Wake County – Kreepers and Krawlers Daycare – has an active cluster with four cases of coronavirus among staff and six among children.

One death has been associated with a cluster, according to the department of health. The death is linked to Grace Filled Beginnings in Washington County. Ten total cases were reported, and one staff member died.
