RALEIGH, N.C. — Going to the N.C. State Fair is all about being a kid again (at least it is for us) and we can't imagine a better treat than freshly made chocolate chip cookies and cold milk!

The Cookies and Milk stand in the Midway provides just that. You can get a plastic cup filled with warm, gooey cookies for $5 or a bucket for $12. You get a lot of cookies in that bucket! Milk - chocolate and white - is also available.

This is the second year for Cookies and Milk at the fair. The stand was previously located near the Village of Yesteryear. Now, they have a prime spot on the Midway near the Turkey Shoot.

Melissa Hilliard and her family own and operate the stand. Hilliard said she wanted to sell something that wasn't being offered already at the fair.

These soft, warm and gooey chocolate chip cookies are perfect to share with a group of friends while walking around the Midway.
