Convicted rapist accused of molesting child
A 50-year-old man previously convicted of rape was arrested Friday on charges that he molested a child, according to arrest warrants.

Nelson Harris, of 1300 Park Glen Drive Apt. 103, was charged with one count of taking indecent liberties with a child under age 16. The warrant says the offense occurred on Nov. 24, 2009.
Harris was being held in the Wake County Jail Saturday under a $250,000 secured bond. His first court appearance was set for Monday.
Harris was convicted in 1994 of one count each of rape and incest and two counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor, according to state Department of Correction records. He was sentenced to a maximum of 20 years but was released in April 2001.
