Fayetteville, N.C. — A Fayetteville man is wanted for questioning in the robbery of a condom vending machine operator, authorities said Wednesday.
The vendor was removing change from the condom machine in the restroom of the Kangaroo convenience store at 2990 Gillespie St. at about 3 p.m. Tuesday when a man approached him brandishing a gun, authorities said. The gunman took an undisclosed amount of money and fled in a tan, four-door Hyundai Sonata, which was later found abandoned near downtown Fayetteville, authorities said.
Authorities were searching for Lester David Sinclair for questioning in the case.
Sinclair, 47, whose last known address was 5203 Killdeer Drive, was described as a black man, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 220 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and dark-colored pants.
Anyone with information on Sinclair’s whereabouts is asked to call the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at 910-323-1500.
