Major William White is one of the longest-living World War II veterans. The Stockton, California community honored him with a parade over the weekend.

White, a man held in high esteem by friends and family, was full of gratitude on his 106th birthday on Saturday.

"I can't think of enough words to express my thanks," White told KCRA.

White was joined by several daughters and granddaughters for the parade.

Born in 1915, White joined the military in 1934. White's daughters say that veteran affairs informed their family that their father is one of the three longest-living world war two veterans.
