The family of Hania Aguilar was gifted a new home Tuesday.
Posted — Updated"Mom and Dad, they cried, they were happy, they were so thankful,” said superintendent Dr. Shanita Wooten said. "The girls ran throughout picking out their rooms."
A Facebook post from Time Out Communities read: "When we heard about the family feeling unsafe in their current home, there was no doubt in our mind that we had to help! For us it is a small gesture compared to all of the hardship they have and are still going through but, it has made a huge impact on them and the community."
The family will soon move from their single-wide mobile home in the Rosewood Mobile Home Park to a double wide. The new home has four bedrooms and plenty of space for the kids to play. The family will also enjoy six months rent free.
The public can help by donating furniture to the family. Furniture can be delivered to 4570 Old Allenton Road in Lumberton between the hours of 3 and 6 p.m.
According to their Facebook page, Time Out Communities mission is to "offer a community of luxury mobile homes where families can thrive."
