Cold rain to move out ahead of pleasant Sunday

After nearly 1.5 inches of rain fell in the Triangle on Friday, skies will start clearing on Saturday.

RALEIGH, N.C. — After rain soaked the Triangle on Friday, skies will start clearing on Saturday.

A flood advisory had been in affect for much of central North Carolina on Friday night.

Nearly 1.5 inches of rain fell at Raleigh-Durham International Airport on Friday.

There’s a 70% chance of rain on Saturday morning, but those chances drop to 30% around noon. There’s a 10% chance for rain overnight.

High temperatures will reach the mid-50s on Saturday, and lows will hit the upper 30s.

Sunday will be mostly clear, with highs again in the mid-50s.

Our next rain system moves in Tuesday with a cold front. While temperatures will peak at 65 degrees on Tuesday, they’ll reach only 46 degrees on Wednesday.
