Co-founder of The Great Raleigh Trolley dies of heart attack
The chairman and co-founder of The Great Raleigh Trolley, a Triangle-area business that runs custom trolley tours throughout the area, suffered a heart attack last week and died, according to a statement from The Great Raleigh Trolley.

Robert Andrew Payne, 40, suffered the heart attack on Feb. 27, while home helping his mother recuperate from recent surgery.
"Payne was a pillar of the Wake and Guilford county communities, and was known for his philanthropy," the statement said.
Payne was recently honored by Governor Cooper at a service in the North Carolina Executive Mansion for his contributions to North Carolina as founder of the Carolina Cavalry.
He served as a member of the NC Board of Governors, was an actor and director at the North Carolina State School of Theatre and was a popular radio personality.
Friends and family will be gathering to celebrate Payne’s life at a service in Market Hall in Downtown Raleigh at 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 10.
