RALEIGH, N.C. — Do you have way too many books around your house?
Starting Monday, Sept. 13, you can donate new or gently used children's books at any Wake County Public Library location during regular business hours.
This book drive will run through Oct. 22 and benefit WAKE Up and Read, a coalition of more than 30 organizations focused on improving childhood literacy.
“We want to make sure that all Wake County children have the tools they need for a bright future,” Wake County Board of Commissioners Vice Chair Vickie Adamson said. “This is a great way for families to pay it forward and help other kids gain literacy skills that will help them in school and beyond.”
