Cary, N.C. — A board member for a group that promotes responsible voting in North Carolina has resigned because of his own political tactics.
Don Hyatt left the North Carolina Center for Voter Education after he spearheaded questionable e-mails and a Web site in a tightly contested Cary Town Council race last fall between incumbent Jennifer Robinson and challenger Lori Bush.
The State Board of Elections is investigating the case.
