Clayton police seek help in identifying debit card thief

Clayton police are asking for the public's help in finding a woman they say is shopping with other people's money.

CLAYTON, N.C. — Clayton police are asking for the public’s help in finding a woman they say is shopping with other people’s money.

Security video at the Walmart Super Center on U.S. 70 Business in Clayton shows the woman, who police said used a stolen debit card to buy four gift cards worth $250 each. The purchase was made just before noon on Nov. 2.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 919-550-5341.
