Clayton controlled burn attracts 'lots of spectators'
The Clayton Fire Department did a controlled burn Saturday morning at an abandoned building, according to Johnston County authorities and a WRAL News viewer who sent pictures and videos.

CLAYTON, N.C. — The Clayton Fire Department did a controlled burn Saturday morning at an abandoned building, according to Johnston County authorities and a WRAL News viewer who shot pictures and videos.
The burn happened near Walmart on U.S. Highway 70. It included "multiple fire engines, lots of spectators (and) a red hot burning blaze," according to resident Lee Odom.
No other information was released.
