Greensboro police issued an Amber Alert on Thursday for Kayson Osiah Monk, 9 months, who is believed to be with Deon Lamar Monk, 23. Police did not say how the two are related.

Construction workers at Lockhart Elementary School cut a gas line Monday morning, forcing an hour-long evacuation of the Knightdale school, Principal Martha Martin said.
