City leaders approve plan for more tiny homes in Raleigh
Raleigh city leaders have approved a plan to build more tiny homes. A move that could open up more affordable housing.

The hope is the decision will diversify housing in Raleigh and make it more affordable.
"Tiny homes represents a great alternative for single family living and much more affordable," said Raleigh Mayor Mary Ann Baldwin.
A spokesperson for Tiny Homes Raleigh told WRAL News the company is reviewing options on where to build.
Currently a tiny home under 300 square feet would cost around $65,000 which would include hook ups for water, sewer, and electric.
