RALEIGH, N.C. — Raleigh officials are seeking the public's input into roundabouts and ways to improve Hillsborough Street.

Construction on roundabouts could begin by the end of year. The Raleigh City Council passed a compromise that calls for at least two roundabouts.

The first roundabout will be placed at the intersection of Pullen Road and Hillsborough Street. A smaller roundabout is planned for Oberlin Road.

Officials will hold a public meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Caldwell Hall building on the campus of North Carolina State University.
