Here are the details on 30 Christmas parades and tree lighting ceremonies
Ready to celebrate the holidays? Towns across the Triangle are gearing up for tree lighting ceremonies and Christmas parades.

Raleigh's Christmas Parade and tree lighting ceremony were last weekend, but there are many more parades and tree lighting ceremonies on the schedule through mid-December. Here's where you'll find them in the Triangle area.
Wake County
Apex
Christmas on Salem Street is Dec. 6 to Dec. 8 in downtown Apex. A lighting of the tree with Santa and Mrs. Claus takes place at 5:30 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6. A parade is at 5 p.m., Dec. 7. They are one of many events planned for the weekend.
Cary
The tree lighting ceremony is 6 p.m., Dec. 7, part of the town's Heart of the Holidays celebration. The Cary Jaycees Christmas Parade is 2 p.m., Dec. 14.
Fuquay-Varina
The town's tree lighting ceremony is 6 p.m., Dec. 5. The town's parade is 3 p.m., Dec. 8.
Garner
Light Up Main is 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Dec. 6. Garner's parade is 2 p.m., Dec. 7. UPDATE: Garner's parade was canceled.
Holly Springs
The tree lighting starts at 6 p.m., Dec. 13. The parade starts at 11 a.m., Dec. 14.
Knightdale
The town's tree lighting and parade will be on Dec. 7. The tree lighting ceremony begins at 4:30 p.m. (the tree lighting actually happens at 6 p.m.) at Knightdale Station Park. The parade begins at 6:30 p.m.
Morrisville
The town's annual tree lighting is 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., Dec. 6, at 101 Town Hall Dr.
Rolesville
The town's parade is noon to 3 p.m., Dec. 8.
Wake Forest
The Lighting of Wake Forest is 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Dec. 6. The town's parade is 1 p.m., Dec. 14. (Update: The parade has been canceled.)
Wendell
Wendell Wonderland, the town's holiday festival, is 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Dec. 6.
Zebulon
The town's Christmas Parade is 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Dec. 1.
Durham County
Durham
Durham's Holiday Parade is 10 a.m., Dec. 14, along Main Street in downtown Durham. A free Fun Fest is 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Dec. 14, at Blackwell Street between Morehead and West Lakewood avenues.
Orange County
Chapel Hill
The town's tree lighting is 6 p.m., Dec. 1, at the Memorial Garden of University Baptist Church, 100 S. Columbia St.
The Chapel Hill Carrboro Holiday Parade is 10 a.m. to noon, Dec. 14.
Hillsborough
The town's holiday parade starts at 4:15 p.m., Dec. 1. A tree lighting immediately follows the end of the parade.
Johnston County
Smithfield
The town's tree lighting is 7 p.m., Dec. 5. The parade is 7 p.m., Dec. 12.
Clayton
The tree lighting ceremony begins with activities starting at 5:30 p.m., Dec. 5. The town's Christmas Parade is 3 p.m., Dec. 14.
Benson
The town's Christmas on Main starts at 5 p.m., Dec. 6, and includes both a tree lighting and a parade.
Elsewhere
Fayetteville: The Rotary Christmas Parade is 11 a.m., Dec. 14.
Mebane: The town's parade is 7 p.m., Dec. 6.
