It's Vacation Bible School time.

Churches across the Triangle are gearing up for a week of fun and fellowship for kids. I've not found a good listing of the programs in the region. And I know there are a lot of them out there.

We've had some discussion about them this week on our Go Ask Mom Facebook page where readers shared details of eight or nine camps. Click here to get to our page (and I know there are a lot more, so feel free to share on Facebook or here if you know of more).

I thought I'd highlight a couple of other church camp programs:

In Garner, newhope church will have a sports camp from 5 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. June 13 to June 17. It's described as an alternative to Vacation Bible School where kids ages 4 to 12 can participate in flag football, soccer, cheer and basketball. UPDATE: The price per camper was lowered to $15 (down from $70) per camper with scholarships and assistance available. Contact Kevyn Brown, student pastor, for more information at 919-454-7835 or email at Kevyn@newhopenc.org.
And Crossroads Fellowship in Raleigh will have a free (you read that right ... free) bible, fine arts and sports camp from 9 a.m. to noon July 18 to July 21 for rising kindergartners to rising fourth graders.
Of course, we have many more camps in our summer camp database.
