Princeton, N.C. — A massive search involving local and state law enforcement officers and dozens of volunteers ended Monday afternoon in a happy homecoming for Patricia Ann Jordan of Princeton.
Jordan, 75, was the subject of a Silver Alert on Sunday morning after she was reported missing from 1020 Bizzell Braswell Road after she walked away from the residence.
Jordan was found just in a ditch in a bean field about 500 yards off N.C. Highway 70A. The location was about a mile from Jordan's home.
"This is just another example of state and local agencies working together assisting families in need. As sheriff, I am humbled by the dedication of the public servants who volunteered their time in this search and the outpouring of support from members of hte community who stopped by the command center and left food and water, voicing their appreciation for our service," said Johnston County Sheriff Steve Bizzell.
Jordan was taken to Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield for evaluation.
