I dropped by the 2nd Look Children's Consignment Boutique in Fuquay-Varina the other week and owner Amy Sugg told me she was thinking about holding a fashion show.

And she is! It's set for this Friday, which happens to be Fuquay-Varina's Art After Dark, a regular event. The shop on Broad Street will hold the fashion show from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. There is no age requirement - it's for babies, kids, teens and moms-to-be (the store carries maternity clothes in addition to clothes for kids).

Facebook fans will vote on most glamorous, creative and wildest. Winners will receive a gift certificate to the store, which offers gently-used clothing and toys, along with a large selection of new Melissa & Doug toys and other items. Participants are asked to make up their own comments cards on their fashions for store staff to read during the show.

To register, email the store with the subject "fashion show" or call 919-762-7118. The email is staff@the2ndlookboutique.com.

Sybil the Clown also will stop by the store that night from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with face painting and balloon animals.

I featured Sugg and the store a couple of months ago. I got to do some shopping the last time I was there and found some great deals for my eight-year-old, who has been living in the shirts and shorts we bought ever since.
