Child injured by bullet in Fayetteville
The unidentified child was shot at about 7 p.m. Tuesday on Suzanne Street, Fayetteville police said.
Posted — UpdatedFAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A 9-year-old child is recovering in Fayetteville from a gunshot wound to the head.
The unidentified child was shot at about 7 p.m. Tuesday near 302 Suzanne St., police said. Paramedics transported him by ambulance to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with what is thought to be non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Police arrested a suspect less than an hour after the shooting. His name was withheld Tuesday evening.
No additional information was provided by police.
