Child injured after car crashes into Durham home

Durham police are investigating after a car crashed into a home Monday afternoon.

DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police are investigating after a car crashed into a home Monday afternoon.

Just after 5:30 p.m., police said Niki Whitlor was driving a 2007 Toyota Camry south on Driver Street when she lost consciousness and struck the front of a residence at 1218 Liberty St.

A 3-year-old boy, who was a passenger in Whitlor's vehicle, suffered minor injuries in the collision.

The crash remained under investigation late Monday.
