Men's mountain bikes and helmets in small sizes are on the latest list of recalls from the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Pacific Cycle recalled about 14,000 Schwinn Abbott mountain bikes, warning that the downtube on the bicycles can crack and riders could fall.

The bicycles, sold at Walmart, are black with green, yellow and blue accent colors and 29-inch tires. “Schwinn” is printed in green and yellow on the downtube of the bicycle and “Abbott” is printed in blue on the top tube of the bicycle near the bicycle stem and handlebars.

Customers can request a free replacement bike by calling toll-free at 877-564-2261 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday or via email to customerservice@pacific-cycle.com.

Shimano recalled about 4,200 Lazer bicycle helmets in sizes XS and S. The helmets, which come in various colors, have Lazer printed on the side and Model LZB-08 on a sticker inside the helmet.

According to the company, the helmets fall short of federal safety standards and should be replaced. Customers can apply online for a replacement or call 800-423-2420 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday.
