Chatham deputy injured in wreck

A Chatham County sheriff's deputy was injured when his cruiser flipped over in Durham County Thursday night.

DURHAM, N.C. — A Chatham County sheriff's deputy was injured when his cruiser flipped over in Durham County Thursday night.

The wreck happened on Farrington Mill Road, near the county line, around 11:30 p.m. The deputy was pinned in the flipped cruiser.

The deputy was taken to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities have not released the name of the deputy or the cause of the wreck.
