Charlotte investigating third homicide in 12 hours

— Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating the city's third homicide in 12 hours after a person was found dead early Tuesday morning, WCNC reports.

The victim was found in the 2600 block of Clydesdale Terrace near Martin Luther King Park. CMPD has not released any information about what happened but said the case is being investigated as a homicide.

This incident would be Charlotte's 94th homicide of 2020, according to CMPD data. On Monday, two people were killed in north Charlotte less than an hour apart.

Detectives have not announced any arrests or released any suspect information. The victim has not been identified.
