Charlotte first to offer Southern Durham's Jordan Glover & Tyler Richmond

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte's football program recently became the first to offer Jordan Glover and Tyler Richmond of Southern Durham High School.

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte’s football program recently became the first to offer Jordan Glover and Tyler Richmond of Southern Durham High School.

Glover, a rising senior, is a defensive back who can play cornerback or safety. He measures at 6-foot-3 and 180 pounds. Richmond is a rising junior who plays outside linebacker/edge rusher. Richmond is 6-foot-3 and 230 pounds.


Over two seasons as a varsity starter, Glover has racked up 171 tackles, 11 tackles for a loss, four interceptions, 29 pass breakups, and two forced fumbles.

Richmond has played a role on the varsity team since his freshman season in 2021. So far, he’s accumulated 60 total tackles, 11 tackles for a loss, six tackles, a pass breakup, and two fumble recoveries.

Southern Durham finished last season with an 8-5 overall record. The Spartans made it to the third round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association’s 3A state playoffs. In the third round, Southern Durham fell to eventual state runner-up Northern Nash in a one-score game.
